In The Beginning
Let’s face it , if you don’t have the capital to be directly investing in crypto currencies, or any other speculative ventures, such as the share market or futures etc, then in reality your scrapping the bottom of the Satoshi barrel. Which means you are probably like me and are working the various crypto currency faucets.
At this point I must acknowledge Tom P(MH Bee Keeper) for being my initial spark of inspiration when he produced a list of various faucet sites back in about 2017 and demonstrated that if you gave up everything, apart from breathing, and focused solely on “milking” crypto faucets it was possible to actually earn a reasonable amount of money in a month.
However, most of us don’t have that level of stamina, me included, and have many of other of life’s priorities, to be able to dedicate that amount of time. Hence we don't get the same result.
That said, my initial 12 month objective was to develop a daily habit of a minimum of two sessions a day while learning as much as I could about the various crypto currencies, micro wallets, hardware and software wallets as well as which faucet sites give the best results.
I’m pleases to say that 3 years on that habit is pretty well ingrained, especially when there are loyalty % points to be lost if you miss a day.
Loyalty Points
Once you have reached a 100 days continuous “Faucet Milking” and therefore 100% bonus on the faucet value you really do feel rather peeved if you miss a day and get reset to 0% !! Some sites, such as the Moon faucets can be reasonable lenient, and will run to 35hours since the last visit and still not “reset you to zero”, while Cointiply.com, for example, don't give any leeway so it’s best to jump in early first thing each day and night to stay on track.
Digital Mosquitoes
In the beginning I did not really know exactly how each of these faucet sites functioned as far as the funding of the various crypto currency faucets was concerned. I did get a bit hung up on the high levels of virus and trojan horse infections etc that many sites are afflicted with. Eventually I paid for a good antivirus program (I use Avast Pro for MAC) and just accepted that it is part of the landscape and not to get to agitated by what I call “Digital Mosquitoes”.
The only issues I have with Avast is that they like to trumpet their triumphs of infections detection and quarantine with popup screens.
I told their support people that I paid for the subscription so just get on and do it and don’t tell me about it every-time. Because of these infections some tabs and verify buttons have to be clicked 3 times in order to actually get the right result. The first two just take you away to various unwanted, and often undesirable ,web sites. The key to managing these unwanted frustrations is patients.. lots of patients.
Advertising – a necessary evil
Anyway, the point I was slowly getting to is that a good faucet site is funded from advertising and therefore before you included a site or a series of similar sites make sure they have high levels of advertising. They also need to have access to support as well as an active group of followers on their chat boxes.(I rarely participate) Not that this will actually guarantee they don't fail and take all your hard worked hours and miniscule quantity of Satoshi’s with them as I have experienced a couple of times. You can now add persistence to patients as a necessary attribute!!
Is It A Scam Site?
That brings me to another point worth considering. Best check to see it the site is a scam because there have been more than a few. For example there was or probably still are a number of Russian based sites which looked very good (such as ripplefree.info) that had good levels advertising but kept the minimum withdraw amount just ahead of your total, while other (so I understand) were just interest in the click for advertising revenue. Best to do a google search if you have any doubts.
Which Coins to Milk?
So what crypto coins should you be trying to amass this “I started with nothing so what have I got to loose” fortune? Well that is a personal choice but I would suggest you limit the number of coin type to about 25 or less and make sure you have the top coins by
Total Market Capital or “Price” as list on say https://cryptovatic.com.
Then there are those that are performing well and have a strong following in the media. I personally prefer those that have a direct function such as cross border payment systems eg; Ripple, Stellar or Zcash for example. In the end, its your choice so take the time to do some research on the more alternative coins to the like of Bitcoin.
Bitcoin, Etheruem , Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Monero and Dash for example should be in your coin
portfolio.

NOTE
Some sites that are multicoin are, in my opinion , to cumbersome to effectively make it worth milking more than one coin type at a time. For example Allcoins, Coinmonster and Colander. I shall cover the topic of Wallets at a later date once i have completed the audit I currently have in progress.
