I have began my own journey in martial arts back in 1987. I was 10 years old and had convinced my parents to sign me up in a Hapkido School nearby. I stayed and trained in that school for 7 years. The school was run by Master Chong Min Lee a 9th degree black belt. When I stopped my journey at that school I was right at my pre-test for black belt; an 8 stripe red belt. Not sure why I stopped. I began to crave learning martial arts again as the years went by. In 1993, I saw the UFC for the first time and watch Royce Gracie dismantle every single opponent and barely through a punch to do it. I was amazed by this style of submission known as Gracie Jiu Jitsu/ Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and told myself I had to lear this art. At the time, there was no such thing as a Jiu Jitsu school in New Jersey where I lived. I did not even see a school like this until I moved to North Miami Beach, FL in 2003. 

By 2012, I started my first month training Jiu Jitsu right under the corner from my house in Plantation, FL. This school just happened to be run by Dustin "Clean" Denes. For those who don't know who Dustin is you can google him. After a month of training with him, he said he was closing the academy down and moving to Rio De Janeiro in Brazil where he was going to advance his training and travel the world doing seminars...and that he did. I tried out two other schools before landing at Team Crave in Plantation, FL.

Sensei Yaniv Rosenberg

Is the founder of Team Crave - Fight Sports Plantation. Yaniv started his fitness and martial arts journey at the age of 10yrs old. Yaniv has a strong back ground in Fitness, Nutrition, Judo, Muay Thai, Aikido, Krav Maga, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Yaniv is originally from Tel Aviv Israel, he moved to the states at the age of 10yrs old. Fitness and Martial Arts is Yaniv’s passion and way of life. Yaniv was voted one of the top trainers in South Florida, and was a finalist for NBC’s Biggest Loser Hit TV show to replace one of the current trainers. Yaniv is also a motivational speaker and philosopher. Yaniv is married to his Beautiful wife Ludmilla together they have 4 amazing children.

The first day I visited the academy I knew I was going to train there. The picture above is exacty as it is. The facility is extremely clean. 5000 Sq. Feet of space. Beautiful white mat, weight area, bamboo floors off the mat, shower, restroom, and mens/womens changing rooms. The professionalism and positive family friendly atmosphere is what drawed me in. I feel a part of something. Yaniv truely cares and is extremely passionate about teaching. This academy is very personal and dedicated to helping students meet their own specific goals.
