What business model do you use to make money?

A lot of newbies and beginners come online and
they want to make money and lots of it but
they never actually think about how they are
going to do it.

Which I do understand because at the start
you just want to make some money to see if
this stuff really works :

There are lots of different ways to create
an income online and to make thousands, 10's
of thousands and even millions of dollars.

Not all business models online are equal though
because some will severely limit your success
and limit your potential income while
others there is not really any limit to how
much you can make.

Here are a few different business models:

1. You create videos for youtube and sell
affiliate products - while this is a good way
to start seeing some commissions it's not a
model that you can scale up and rely on because
you are using a 3rd party site (youtube) that
you have no control over to make money.

2. You build niche and affiliates sites and get
most of your traffic from SEO - Again a very
good way to start online and get you making
some money and seeing commissions but not a
business model that you can scale up or is
stable because your income is in the hands of
google or some 3rd party search engine.

Here are some business models where YOU have
control and your business is extremely stable
and will flourish over time.

3. Build a list and sell stuff - Some people
just focus on building email lists in various
niches and then just sell relevant products to
their list. You can do this in almost any niche.
It's very profitable and some marketers just
do this and do extremely well.

4. Build a list and sell your own products -
This is the next stage from just selling affiliate
products and this is to sell your own products
as well. This is the model that most successful
online business owners use to create their
income. It's long term and a solid way to grow
and run your business and can be scaled into
the millions of dollars.

5. Build your own membership site - There are
some marketers that make almost all of their
money just from membership sites. They have
either one main site or they build lots of them
in various niches and then flip (sell) them
for big profits.

Membership sites are extremely profitable I know
this as I have one myself :-) but you will
still be building a list so this model is
about as air tight as they come. In time you can
easily scale this model to make as much as you
want online.

6. Build your own authority website or blog -
This is a model that some marketers use. Many
just start out a website or blog for some fun
and it ends up becoming very popular and ends
up being very profitable. This can be a rather
more risky model because although you will still
be building a list and selling your own stuff
it can take a long time (years) to build
an authority website or blog.

It's still a good model though and one that
you still see and will continue to see for a very
long time online.

So there we have it. Those are
just some of the example business models that
you can choose from.

Don't forget, at the start your focus is just
to get some results and make a bit of money
and then once you feel a bit more confident and
you have some good experience and skills start
building more a long term business and model.
