I have been writing on Markethive since the beginning in January this year. I have attempted to “creatively” define and explain what the Markethive Social Neural Network is and how it works. I did a considerable amount of research into neural networks and social constructs and groups. I, no doubt, followed the path that Tom took on his journey to the creation of Markethive.
I have written several articles explaining how I view the Markethive Social Neural Network and by doing this I came to a few realizations.
Ideas evolve and grow. At some point, an idea connects with so many other like concepts that it morphs into a central way of thinking — an ideology.
Markethive is a way of expanding your marketing influence socially. It is a paradigm shift in the methodology of understanding why social marketing engagements work the way they do, and how you can deal with them.
Wikipedia defines “Social Marketing” as follows:
Social marketing seeks to develop and integrate marketing concepts with other approaches to influence behaviors that benefit individuals and communities for the greater social good.
It seeks to integrate research, best practice, theory, audience and partnership insight, to inform the delivery of a competition sensitive and segmented social change programs that are effective, efficient, equitable and sustainable.
"Social Marketing" is sometimes seen as the same old thing, standard commercial marketing practices. The primary aim of social marketing is "social good", while in "commercial marketing" the aim is primarily "financial good, profits".
In Social Marketing you have “two partners” - a social partner and a marketing partner. In Markethive you have the perfect union of the two.
The Dilemma
I am an entrepreneur. I prefer not to sell consumer products, I very much dislike the current practice of marketing and I do not like MLM marketing.
What do I do?
I am an information professional. I work with international commodities traders. I do research and provide my clients with the requested information. I am an information reporter, so to speak. Although, I sometimes participate in a trade transaction.
But wait, information publishing is a primary part of the Markethive the Neural Network.
Obviously, I am a philosopher not a marketer. I sell to satisfy a need, a real need. I do not enjoy marketing at the level of the “illusion of need”, desire.
The old hack goes like this “find a need and fill it”. Today, it goes like this “create a need and fill it”. Today the assumption behind public relations and marketing is, that the consumer does not know what they”really want”, so we, the corporation, will tell them what they desire and we will make them see the need of it.
I am not comfortable trying to “create a need” to fill. Not my kind of entrepreneurship.
So, what am I doing in Markethive?
What do I want to do?
I want a community. I want to associate with like minded people. I want to socialize and I want to socialize globally. And, I prefer social business networking because I want to know who I am working with in business. Knowing who you are working with better allows for trust to develop.
The Markethive Social Neural Solution
I have written about the Markethive Social Neural Group and as I did, I became aware again, at a different level, of the Social Neural ME. So the questions are, what do I want to discuss in the group? Why do I want to discuss the subject? What does it mean to the entrepreneur? How does it effect the entrepreneur? Most importantly, who cares?
It starts with what I like
With ME, it is what I like to do and the availability of success doing it.
I like to research and report on the influence of the global financial institutions and their currency systems and alternative currencies.
What I am going to do is start two groups accordingly.
The next article will address My Social Neural Group(s) and their Profile(s).
