Will getting vaccinated against COVID-19 impact your life insurance policy? Social media reports claim as much, but Wisconsin Insurance Commissioner Mark Afable says that’s not true. The issue centers around the rapid development of vaccines, something the rumor-mills claim would void the policy.
Commissioner Afable said that vaccine status is not currently considered by life insurers when determining coverage or rates for new applicants. And as for the new vaccines, whether Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson, all were rigorously tested for safety, and Wisconsinites can be confident that getting a shot won’t impact life insurance benefits.
