Auto stocks at the top in the Dax
On the corporate side, auto stocks in particular benefited from the good news from China. Volkswagen papers took the top spot in Dax with a jump of almost 5 percent. Daimler and Continental were also among the clear winners.

By contrast, MTU shares came under pressure. Operating profit declined a little more than expected. The stock fell 5.5 percent to a low since late May.

In the MDax, the approval of the cancer drug Monjuvi in ​​the USA gave Morphosys shares an increase of 7.9 percent. Varta shares overshadowed this with an increase of 12 percent. The battery manufacturer has settled a patent dispute with Samsung and will remain the main supplier of the South Koreans' rechargeable headset batteries for the next few years.

Siemens Healthineers' securities, on the other hand, fell 9 percent after the medical technology group announced with the US company Varian that it would buy billions of euros, which would result in a capital increase.

In the SDax, Nordex shares shot up by almost 22 percent. Here, the planned sale of wind and solar projects to RWE created a party mood for investors. Analysts praised the fact that Nordex had hidden reserves and improved its balance sheet. The step was also welcomed by RWE investors, where the shares rose by 2.6 percent.

Aroundtown shares lost 3.4 percent after Morgan Stanley went on sale. Lufthansa shares fell 2.8 percent as corona infections rose again. Speculation that Aareal Bank is making progress in selling its IT subsidiary has pushed the bank's share price up by more than 12 percent.

Euro exchange rate falls
After its recent high, the euro weakened on Monday. In late trading, the common currency was $ 1.1740. In the morning, the euro was still trading at $ 1.1780.

German Bund prices fell on Monday. The Rex index lost 0.10 percent to 145.71 points. In return, the current yield rose from minus 0.57 percent on Friday to minus 0.53 percent. The Bund future fell in the evening by 0.10 percent to 177.31 points.

Oil prices are falling somewhat
Oil prices rose on Monday after initial losses. A barrel (159 liters) of the North Sea type Brent last cost $ 44.15. That was 63 cents more than on Friday. The price of a barrel of the American variety West Texas Intermediate (WTI) rose by 82 cents to $ 41.09.
