The chemical and pharmaceutical company invests in the digital solutions of a US start-up.
Düsseldorf The Bayer Group is expanding its business with digital health products. The Leverkusen-based company is investing up to 98 million dollars in the American start-up Informed Data Systems (IDS). Together with the New York company, the group wants to develop digital platforms for the chronically ill.
Bayer already invested in IDS last year and is now the lead investor in the next financing round. The Leverkusen-based company is investing a further $ 35 million in the start-up, thereby increasing its stake. More than 60 million dollars are to flow into the joint development projects.
