Corona infections in the United States rise to over 200,000

New York City is particularly hard hit by the corona pandemic.

Washington - The number of new coronavirus infections has increased to 203,608 in the United States. This comes from data from Johns Hopkins University in the US state of Baltimore on Wednesday. The number of coronavirus-related deaths in the U.S. rose to a total of 4,476.

The metropolis of New York City on the US east coast is particularly hard hit by the corona pandemic. In New York City alone, 1,139 people died from the effects of Covid-19 lung disease, according to Johns Hopkins University.
