Corona is slowly coming back, but unfortunately with all his might

"Corona is slowly coming back, but unfortunately with all his might"

After the coronavirus infection of 174 harvest helpers, Bavaria has increased the fine for farms for corona violations. Prime Minister Söder urged strict compliance with the rules - and reiterated his call for mandatory tests for vacationers returning.
Bavaria's Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) has warned that the rules for combating the pandemic must be strictly observed after the corona mass infection on a farm in Lower Bavaria. "Corona is not forgiving," said Söder in Munich on Monday. Unreasonableness, a lack of caution and, in part, conscious violations of hygiene concepts and rules are the problem. Wearing mouth-nose protection is therefore just as important as expanding test capacities and possibly quarantine.
"Corona is coming back slowly, but unfortunately with all his might," said Söder. It is therefore important to ensure that a few cases do not gradually become a second wave of infections. "Caution must remain the top priority," said the CSU boss.
In the event of violations of hygiene requirements, EUR 25,000 will be due in the future instead of the previous EUR 5,000, as Söder announced. As a further consequence of the current case in Mamming (district of Dingolfing-Landau), agricultural holdings are to be checked at shorter intervals than before during the harvest season, which is possible day and night without notice, said Söder. In addition, all seasonal workers in Bavaria should be tested on Corona.
The Mamming case had startled authorities and politics. Almost 500 harvest helpers from several countries are currently working on the large vegetable farm, and over a third have been infected with the corona pathogen. The courtyard is now under quarantine and is cordoned off with a construction fence. Nobody is allowed to leave the premises, food is delivered.

Terrifying study
The authorities are now offering free corona tests to over 3,300 residents of the municipality. Since the harvest helpers had little contact with the local population, the district office so far assumes that the infections have not spread beyond the farm.
Bavaria wants to test flight, train and car travelers for corona virus
Bavaria also wants to test air, train and car travelers for the corona virus. In addition to the test stations at the airports, there will also be stations for corona tests on the motorways in the Walserberg, Pocking and Kiefersfelden areas, as well as at the main train stations in Munich and Nuremberg.

Söder also reiterated its call for mandatory tests for vacation returnees from high-risk areas. He appealed to the federal government to provide the legal basis for the mandatory tests via the Infection Protection Act. As soon as the legal okay comes, Bavaria will test returners from risk areas at the airports. Söder said that this duty had to come “absolutely” and “as soon as possible”. Bavaria will now prepare everything organizationally so that it can start compulsory tests directly if the federal government provides for it.

FLYING IN CORONA TIMES
Söder said he was "very worried" about the returnees from vacation. At the moment, people showed great carelessness in private settings. While the situation is under control in old people's and nursing homes, local public transport and the retail trade, caution should be forgotten, for example, at private celebrations. At the moment there is no need for further measures in the private sphere, says Söder. However, the situation will be closely monitored and, in case of doubt, consistently reacted. The summer holidays in Bavaria have only just begun, so that, unlike in other federal states, holidaymakers still have to return.
