The medical group continues to expand in the German hospital market. Germany's largest clinic operator buys the "Seliger Gerhard" hospital in Bonn from the Order of Malta. The purchase, which is to be completed in the third quarter, requires the approval of the Bundeskartellamt. Fresenius plans to integrate the clinic into the west region of its hospital subsidiary Helios. Helios operates 86 hospitals in Germany.
