London - The number of new coronavirus infections in the UK has increased to 29,474. The number of deaths related to the coronavirus rose to 2,352, the UK Department of Health said on Wednesday in London.

Since the previous day, 563 people have died from the consequences of the lung disease Covid-19.

The number of people actually infected with the coronavirus is likely to be much higher. By Wednesday morning, a total of 152,979 people had been tested on SARS-CoV-2, the UK Department of Health said.
