After the Japanese manufacturer Nissan, its French alliance partner Renault announced the cut in thousands on Friday. 15,000 jobs are to be cut worldwide in the next three years. Renault, in which the French state has a 15 percent stake, wants to save two billion euros through the renovation. The French government is making an aid loan promised to Renault of over five billion euros dependent on the group agreeing with the unions on the future of jobs in the country.
