RKI declares three US states to be risk areas
The number of confirmed infections in the Federal Republic has recently increased further.
Berlin - The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) also declared the U.S. states of California, Washington and New York a risk area in the coronavirus pandemic on Sunday.
Previously, the province of Hubei was in China, the province of Gyeongsangbuk-do (North Gyeongsang) in South Korea, the Grand Est region with Alsace, Lorraine and Champagne-Ardenne in France, the state of Tyrol in Austria, the capital Madrid and Spain as well as in Spain all of Italy and Iran have been classified as risk areas.
In Germany, the district of Heinsberg in North Rhine-Westphalia is considered a particularly affected area. The number of confirmed infections in the Federal Republic recently increased further, to around 5,460 cases by Sunday afternoon.
