Skandal! Avast Antivirus spioniert Nutzer aus und verkauft die Daten

Skandal! Avast Antivirus spioniert Nutzer aus und verkauft die Daten

Delete quickly! That can now be the only motto! Because a data scandal is looming. Avast Antivirus spied on the users and sold the data on to third parties.

Documents from the manufacturer of the Antivrius software have now appeared. And these reveal a huge data scandal. User data has been skimmed and resold for years.

The Antivrius software collected all of the users' clicks, searches, purchases and other browser activities and then sold them to other companies.

This is now shown by an examination of the two sides PCMag and motherboard.

The first indications of this practice appeared months ago, but attempts were made to prevent it. Allegedly, the data is completely anonymous, so that no conclusions can be drawn about the real identities.

The protection of privacy was ensured, it said. But that is not the case, it was easy to assign the allegedly anonymized data to the real people.

And with that, Avast seems to have made good money. The Avast subcontractor Jumpshot has sold this extensive data to Google, Yelp, Microsoft, IBM, McKinsey, Pepsi, Unilever, Nestle Purina, Kimberly-ClarkSephora, Home Depot, Condé Nast, Intuit etc.

it seems that a huge data scandal has now been discovered. And hopefully Avast will be held responsible!
