Valuable Russian radarplane damaged in attack

Following the recent attack on the Russian Beriev A-50 radar plane at Machulishchy military airport, Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko now claims that over 20 people have been arrested. He confirms that an attack with a "small drone" actually took place. According to him, the valuable Russian aircraft was only superficially damaged.

In addition to the alleged suspect, who is of Russian-Ukrainian descent, other accomplices are now also in custody.

Attack videos
The Belarusian organization of Partinsanen called Bypol claims to have deployed 2 drones to attack the A-50 at the end of February. The aim was to damage the machine at 2 critical points: the radar antenna and the upper front fuselage area. In a video released by Bypol, a drone can be seen landing on the antenna - another lands on the front of the fuselage. However, it is not clear from the videos whether the attack damaged the radar plane.
