Bipartisan Bills to BREAK UP Big Tech?

The U.S. House of Representatives introduced 4 bills on Friday designed to reign in tech giants. Two address the creation of platforms for other businesses, and then competing against those same businesses - specifically aimed at Amazon and Google.

One bill aims to ban subsidiaries that operate on their platform and compete with other businesses - which could force Big Tech firms to sell certain assets. Similarly it tackles unfair mergers to buy out competition, and the fourth bill would allow user data to be moved to competitors.

“From Amazon and Facebook to Google and Apple , it is clear that these unregulated tech giants have become too big to care,” said U.S. Representative Pramila Jayapal (Democrat and sponsor of the bills).

Gerald Roberts Yes, and I say they need to be reigned In, they've gotten too big to care Is right. I think congress waited until the violations were front and center to do anything about them.
