My Birth Story - Why The Hospital Threatened to Send CPS and Charge Me with a Misdemeanorit's
Not just when you give birth. They do it to everyone. My son had a brain tumor as a toddler. We had to live in the hospital for a month at a time. They were so judgmental with my parenting. At night, every time I dosed off they would come in. My son was barely sleeping too. I started getting sick myself. I finally talked to them. Some nurses complained. I had to get mad for them to start a routine so we can sleep. They would also keep the room freezing. We went back and forth on the temperature. I had to keep my son covered and I had to wear a jacket. They finally put a note on the thermostat to not touch it. One of his doctors came in and asked me why it was so cold. I pointed at the sign. She ripped it off and walked out of the room. She came back and said that was ridiculous and from now on I can have it how I wanted. some of the nurses saw me as a problem parent because I got stuff done. Anther time my son was in a lot of pain. They said they couldn't do anything until the next morning when the doctor arrived. my son was moaning and tensing up his body. It would make you cry. I took things in my own hands and called the doctor and said it was an emergency. They got me to her right off. She came and took one look at him and walked out of the room mad. Believe me, it was hard to fight for your child alone when the nurses won't. That was a long time ago. my son is now tumor free, age 14. Always fight for your child. The nurses are not the parent, you are.
