The Aspen Institute
From the Aspen Ideas Festival, recorded Tuesday, June 26, 2018. Jordan Peterson, author of the best-selling 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos, may be one of the most famous intellectuals in North America today. He also may be among the most misunderstood. His fans say that he’s saved their lives, and detractors say that he’s the gateway drug to the alt-right. Who is this psychologist-philosopher whom so many of us had never heard of two years ago, and what does he really believe?

I am a semi-retired Canadian university psychology professor. I consider myself to be a progressive. I also think Dr. Peterson is brilliant. His views do not conflict with a progressive philosophy. However, they do conflict with ignorant extremism on both the left and the right. We need more Jordan Petersons in our universities.
When the left is the underdog: "Always challenge authority" When the left is mainstream: "Obey us or be silenced"
Jordan warned us about the radical left Marxists. Now they’re burning cities.
As a lefty, I have watched so many of Petersons videos just waiting to be triggered. But, in the end just feel more enlightened.
"The administrators have figured out how to pick the future pockets of their students." Nailed it
