Kryza's manger listed in the Guinness Book of Records
Krýza's nativity scene is the largest folk mechanical nativity scene in the world, which is listed in the Guinness Book of Records.
It is one of the most visited exhibits of the Jindřichohradeck Museum in Jindřichov Hradec. The magnificent nativity scene was created by Tomáš Krýza (1838–1918), a hosiery master from Jindřichohradec, over sixty years.
But this famous work is by far not the only one in Czech Republic. Nativity scenes have a long tradition. Another interesting work is Southern Bohemia.
One of the largest mechanical nativity scenes in the Czech Republic depicts the life of our ancestors in the ancient city of Sušice. The work depicts life, traditional crafts in the charming Šumava countryside, important Šumava monuments and folk architecture.
Merry Christmas !
