Poland refuses to take vaccines now

Poland refuses to take vaccines now
Poland will not take over more vaccines

===============================

Poland, according to the minister of health, wanted to distribute the supplies of covid-19 vaccines contracted by the European Commission in time. But the manufacturers refused, so Warsaw decided not to take vaccines at all.
Poland will no longer take over or pay for additional supplies of covid-19 vaccines under the EU purchase agreement. This was stated on Tuesday by health minister Adam Niedzielski TVN24. He also admitted that the consequence will be a legal dispute with vaccine manufacturers.

BioNTech, Pfizer and Moderna were contracted by the European Commission to provide vaccines against covid-19 during the covid-19 pandemic, as were other EU member states. The largest supplier of vaccines to Poland is Pfizer.
Minister of health Adam Niedzielski said Poland had tried to spread vaccine supplies over time, but this had failed. "We wanted to distribute those deliveries within 10 years and pay the moment we get the vaccines. Unfortunately, we have encountered an absolute lack of adaptability on the part of manufacturers,“ the minister said in an interview with TVN24.

He stressed that Poland now has large expenditures in connection with the wave of refugees from Ukraine, and the country therefore, according to him, has the right to expect assistance.
In Poland, 59 percent of the population has completed vaccination, that is, at least two doses. 31 percent of poles received a booster dose. This is well below the EU average, where 72.5 percent of the population is fully vaccinated and 53 percent of people are even after the third dose.

I think that the issue of supplier-customer relations in relation to the so-called covid vaccines is ripe for legal evaluation.
