Praha Among Best Cities

Posted by M H on July 14, 2022 - 7:27pm Edited 7/14 at 7:27pm

Praha is among the top ten cities in the world

The capital of Czech Republic scores again in the ranking of the international magazine Time Out.

Magazine chose Prague as the sixth best city on the planet and the third most beautiful in this year.

"Only few  Capitals look this good; it is no surprise that Prague was voted the third most beautiful city in the world in this year's ranking," writes Time Out magazine in its assessment. "But it's not just a pretty face. Visitors also get to know the increasing quality of life, which is illustrated by the abundance of galleries and museums or quality and affordable restaurants.“

According to journalist David Creighton, it is not surprising that Prague became the third most beautiful city in the world.

I myself am even less surprised. The city in which I live is truly extraordinary - here you will find charming architecture from the Romanesque to modern buildings, preserved old parts of the city under the protection of UNESCO, renaissance and baroque palaces, Prague Castle, which is dominated by the Gothic cathedral of St. Vitus.

The Prague urban monument reserve was included in the UNESCO heritage list in 1992 . It includes Prague Castle and Hradčany, Malá Strana (Lesser Town), Charles Bridge, Staré Město (Old Town), Nové Město (New Town) and Vyšehrad.

All these photos are mine - so some of them are less tipical than those usually presented.
