Watch this space. The new Chief Engineer is getting up to speed

Well, Sometimes the best blogs a person can write are the ones that aren't thought out. The kind of blog that just comes naturally to a writer without worry or concern to detail. The best thing a blogger can do is promote themselves to other people through content. Today was just another day. However, it was a good one as my wife and I ventured off to the doctor for the first check up for our soon to be third child. Getting the news that a third child is on the way can be exciting, frightening, and a slew of other emotions all at one time. So let me explain the day as it unfolded.

We get to the hospital physician offices and valet our two cars with the attendant. After the appointment we had the valet attendant bring our cars to us to drive home. When we arrive back at the house, my wife noticed that the fob key was the only thing in the ignition of the van. I then look at my set of keys and noticed my fob key was missing from my key ring. Note: We both have a key for each vehicle on our key rings along with other keys and such. Turns out, this attendant took my fob key off my ring and started the van and then brought my car with my set of keys minus the fob. So, I started asking where is the other set of keys (the entire set of keys on the keyring that belonged to my wife)?

I decide to drive back to the hospital in an attempt to get this issue resolved quickly. I got with security who checked all the valet keyboxes. No keys were found. I called the owner of the valet company and voiced my complaint. The valet owner called the attendant who was working. The attendant called me and clearly stated he did not know what happened to the keys. As you can see, here we have an issue with problem solving and resolution. This is very frustrating as we our now operating off of one set of keys. Now, to play devils advocate, as much as my mind tells me to say nasty things about this valet attendant, there is clear evidence that he was overwhelmed with work. I noticed he was the only attendant working and moving around at least 15 cars before he got to us when we arrived. I cannot find him completely at fault due to the high stress levels he was probably experiencing with no help as the only working employee. I am not worried about it because the hospital and that valet agency is now at fault. I put most of the blame on the valet owner for not providing enough staff to handle the large flow of traffic arriving and leaving the hospital all day long.

Steven Cavan All worked out Brian. We got a call the next day from the valet attendant stating he found the keys!
