Time to Declare YOUR Independence

Independence Day is one of my favorite holidays because the meaning goes so much deeper than just July 4th, 1776. Independence is an important goal that we all need to work toward every day, where ever we live in the world.

Declaring your own independence can be accomplished when you are not reliant on specific people or organizations who have control over the choices you can make.

When you work in a traditional job, you do not have the freedom of working when you want, where you want, and with who you want. You have to be where the "boss" tells you to be, when they tell you to be there, and work with who they tell you to work with. You have little control over how much you earn and your growth in the company. Your life and choices are controlled by THEM, NOT YOU.

When you are reliant on a pension or fixed monthly payments, then you have to learn to live on a fixed income. Just like a traditional job, you don't have a direct way to increase your income coming from the pension. You adjust your lifestyle to match your income rather than adjusting your income to give you the lifestyle you want.

I know that we all have bills to pay and need an income to be able to take care of ourselves and those who depend on us. However, why do we have to give up our freedom and independence to do it?

We don't have to!

To declare your independence, you need to build a reliable income that is not dependent on you keeping the boss happy. You need to create an income that is controlled by you. If you want to earn more, then you can work to change your income. If you want to travel or choose the days you work, then you have the ability to do that.

Being independent means that you have to be able to depend on YOURSELF! You have to be able to depend on your ability to add value to others and have them pay your for it.

If you want to earn income from being an affiliate for other people's products, then you need to know that you can convince others to buy those products so you can earn a commission. If you want to create and sell your own products, like an online course, then you need to be able to create something that people are willing to pay for and then have a group of people to market it to.

Either way, the best way to create an INCOME YOU CAN COUNT ON is to build an audience of people who know, like, and trust you. The larger the audience and the better your relationship with them, the more income you can earn.

If you want to sell affiliate products or network marketing, then your audience is where you find your buyers. If you want to create a product, then you find out what your audience wants and then create it for them. You already have a ready pool of buyers in your audience.

Those who continue to try to earn an income by being in the right program at the right time have failed, over and over. You could not quit your job, if your plan was to win the lottery every month to pay your bills. When you keep jumping on every new money-making opportunity that you can find, that is essentially what you are doing. You are playing the lottery and hoping to win every month.

Your independence comes from building the ability to depend on yourself. You know that you have built an audience you can count on. You know that you have learned what your audience wants. You know that you have developed the skills to communicate with them and influence them to take action on your offers.

Independence is not easy.

It wasn't an easy path to the independence in America. It won't be easy for you either, but it is possible if you focus on what is important in the long-term. The founding fathers of the United States did not try to look for quick fixes. They wanted to build a Republic that would last, and almost 250 years later, it still stands. There were ups and down, a revolutionary war, and a civil war, but it still stands.

Focus on the long-term independence that following the right strategy can bring.

1. Build your list.

2. Create a following of trust by adding value.

3. Find what they need and want.

4. Sell it to them.

This is the true path to YOUR Independence Day.
