102. Beethoven, Leonid Kogan, Paris Conservatoire Orchestra Conducted By Constantin Silvestri – Violin Concerto

Posted by Bill Rippel on February 19, 2021 - 12:16am

Year: 1959
Record label: Columbia
Worth Today: $4,117.00*

Featuring Beethoven, Leonid Kogan, and the Paris Conservatoire Orchestra and conducted by Constantin Silvestri, Violin Concerto was released in 1959 and contains two tracks. On the A-side is “Concerto in D Major, Op. 61,” and on the B-side is “Concerto in D Major, Op. 61.” Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827) composed the music.

Later, there would be a 2014 rerelease, called Beethoven Violin Concerto, on The Electric Recording Co. However, the 1959 vinyl is one of the most expensive. An initial offer for the Violin Concerto record was $9,272.73 (though the price ended up being less than half that—though still in the thousands).
