Never Mind the Bollocks Here’s the Sex Pistols was the Sex Pistols’ only studio album. The album has gone on to influence the music industry (particularly how Johnny Rotten sings and the raw energy of the album in general). The album is often listed as punk’s most important album of all time.
At the time of the release in the seventies, the Sex Pistols were very controversial. They’d sworn on live TV, been banned from playing in certain parts of England, and they’d been fired from a couple record labels. Still, in spite of (or perhaps because of) the notoriety, the album peaked at #1 and vinyl copies sell for a small fortune.
