David Bowie was an iconic artist who constantly pushed the boundaries of his craft over the course of his glittering career. By the time he passed away in 2016, he had built a solid legacy of over 28 releases. One of his most popular works was 1974’s Diamond Dogs, which featured the track “Rebel Rebel.”

David Bowie’s biographer, Chris O’Leary, said that Diamond Dogs was a combination of all the projects that Bowie had envisioned. There were references in Diamond Dogs to George Orwell’s 1984. Ziggy Stardust, as a musical, was also thrown into Diamond Dogs, making the record an artistic, futuristic, and visionary project.
