The Misfits is a horror punk band, and “Bullet,” the band’s second single, lives up to that genre. “Bullet” had a first pressing of 1,000 copies on 7” black vinyl, which, of course, came with a lyrics sheet and gatefold cover. The original 1,000 have “distributed by Ork” on the back sleeve, but that actually ended up being false.

Though The Misfits had a distribution deal with Ork in the works, that fell through, and Ork never distributed the record. Later, the second, 2,000-copy pressing, done on red vinyl, removed any mention of Ork. The record’s cover also took off the band’s photo and replaced it with artwork of a bullet hole.
