Year: 1976
Record label: Tiger Lily
Worth Today: $14,000*

Stonewall released its eponymous album, Stonewall, in 1976. Stonewall was a heavy-rock band from New York City. The band released Stonewall on Tiger Lily, an obscure record label that would go on to release albums only for one year. The history of Tiger Lily is shrouded in criminality and mystery.

Ran by Morris Levy, an infamous record exec who would go on to be sentenced to a decade in federal prison for extortion, ran Tiger Lily as a tax shelter business, making it a fake record label. Levy didn’t actually release albums to the public—he dumped them into a local landfill. Stonewall’s vinyl EP is one of a few that made it out.
