Josh Cosden was certainly a fascinating figure. He was born in 1881 and, during his lifetime, he earned and wasted two fortunes. He started as a sales clerk and moved to Oklahoma to start a life in the oil industry. Somehow, this gamble worked. When he lost his oil fortune in 1925, he gained it back by investing in oil fields in West Texas.
