75. The Thirteenth Floor Elevators — Reverbaration (Doubt)

Posted by Bill Rippel on January 17, 2021 - 1:51am

Year: 1966
Record label: International Artists
Worth Today: $4,000.00*

This psychedelic rock vinyl was released in 1966 in France. Reverberation by The Thirteenth Floor Elevators had two tracks on the A-side (“Reverbaration [Doubt]” and “You’re Gonna Miss Me”) and two on the B-side (“Fire Engine” and “Tried to Hide”). The “a” in “Reverbaration” is not an accident.

A1, on release, was credited as “Reverbaration” instead of “Reverberation.” Reverberation’s writers included Roky Erickson, S. Sutherland, and T. Hall. International Artists was the label from which Reverberation was licensed, and Imprimerie Glory-Carpel signed on as the printer. Reverberation would get a reissue on Riviera-Maison Barclay (CD, RE, and EP format) on a later, unspecified date.
