In the UK, just one 12” and one 7” “The One” vinyl was given away. One 3” CD, a MiniDisc, a CD, and a cassette were also released, totaling just six “The One” copies in existence.

The cover art for “The One” was based on Fame, a 1980 teen drama. The single was released in 2002 as the soundtrack to Orange County, a comedy starring Jack Black and Colin Hanks. The single was only available via import into the UK and US.
