In 2019, rapper Kanye West seemed to have put his sights on buying over half of Wyoming. He’s purchased two ranches just an hour apart from each other, costing a total of $29 million. The most publicised of these is Monster Lake Ranch, which he was given planning permission to build on in 2020. His plans include two lake houses and two underground garages.

During his marriage to Kim Kardashian-West, she talked openly about their plans to use the ranch as a family getaway, living primarily at the ranch and travelling between their other homes, namely their mansion in Los Angeles. West has supposedly been living at the ranch since his separation, which consists of six lots that were intended to be sold separately, but were bought as a package deal by West.
