We all know that Donald Trump has spent time living in the White House and famous Trump Tower, but his Florida residence is just as luxurious, if not more so. After it was built in the 1920s, the original owner, Marjorie Post, bequeathed the property to the US government in hopes it would be used as a winter getaway for the president. This was not meant to be, as the up-keep costs alone were around $1 million annually.

Donald Trump purchased the estate, known as Mar-a-Lago in 1985 and for many years it was the primary residence of him and his wife, Melania. As it also operates as a members only club, Trump continued to utilise the property during his presidency as a place to hold diplomatic meetings. He purchased the original furniture and antiques with the property to maintain the European influences in the decor.
