The former home of Gianni Versace has been through a lot over the years. It was originally purchased by Versace in 1992 and the fashion mogul spent more on renovations than he did on the original property. It was known as a symbol of pure luxury and wealth, with a gold-lined pool and stunning statue of Medusa. That was until Versace was tragically shot dead on the very steps of the home he spent so much time turning into his paradise.

After his death, Peter Loftin purchased the estate for $19 million and turned it into a luxury boutique hotel and members-only club. The enterprise collapsed after one of his investors was found to be running a ponzi scheme. The property was listed for sale in 2021 at $125 million and was eventually bought for just a fraction of that: $41.5 million.
