The home was designed by Pierce & Ward, who Johnson asked to design her a home away from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles.

The house was originally built by Carl Maston, and it’s quirky, to say the least. The midcentury-modern mansion was described by Johnson as “a tree house on a boat.” Johnson bought the home for $12.5 million ($1.5 million less than asking) in January of 2021.
