Melissa Rivers inherited her mother, Joan Rivers’, estate, but she chose to live somewhere else. The actress and talk show host bought a home in the Pacific Palisades, and she downsized from a $15.5 million house in Santa Monica to a $7.7 million estate. The Santa Monica home was 7,000 square feet, and its Mediterranean villa style was designed by Martyn Lawrence Bullard. 

Though a smaller home, the Pacific Palisades mansion is still quite impressive. It was built from the ground up a few years ago, and it has five bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms. The 4,900-square-foot residence has a whole house audio system, as well as high-end finishes like custom millwork and a lot of wide-plank wooden floors.
