Naomi Campbell owns a beautiful holiday home in Malindi, Kenya. The idyllic villa is a perfect getaway for the supermodel, who said that it is a “very calming place” to relax. She said that she likes sitting with the “silence and the crickets.”

The open-ended, airy structure has a Makuti roof, which is a thatched roof unique to East Africa. Much of the furniture in the light, airy, spacious holiday abode is locally-sourced. Though there are some foreign pieces, like the latika lanterns from Marrakech, much of the wooden furniture in the house is made right in Malindi. For a while, the home even had a woodworking studio in the back.
