Actress Bryce Dallas Howard lives in a historic upstate New York home that she believes she was “destined” to buy. The actress moved from Los Angeles in the hopes of finding a quieter, more serene life. She also felt that the home would help her better live an eco-conscious, eco-friendly lifestyle.

She said that she found her mansion by accident when she and her family were in the area for her brother’s wedding. Howard kept driving past a stone house that she loved, but there was no for-sale sign. But, on the actress’ last day there, she got an email saying that it was about to hit the market. She immediately toured the home and made the decision to purchase it.
