Film star Lee Daniels lives in a minimalist mansion. The Coldwater Canyon home is unique, filled with wood paneling and shades of white, black, and charcoal. Daniels said that he didn’t want a large home that was “pretentious” and “big for no reason.” He was drawn to the “bones” of his house because he knew he would be able to keep it simple.

Daniels’ design philosophy is “minimal is better.” The four-bedroom, four-and-a-half bathroom home has unique pieces scattered throughout the home. Daniel’ has an art collection that includes a Harouni painting that he bought while shooting The Butler in L.A., as well as a painting by Kehinde Wiley, portraitist of former president Barack Obama.
