Talk about making a profit. In 2009, blockbuster actor Mark Wahlberg purchased an $8 million plot of land in Beverly Hills. He enlisted a well-known architect, Richard Landry, to turn the six-acre parcel of land into a massive mansion with a library, five-hole golf course, and theater.

The Mulholland Drive lot, which measures 267,335 square feet, is now on the market for $90 million, which means that Wahlberg stands to make a profit of over $80 million on his real estate investment. He put the 30,500-square-foot home up for sale in the spring of 2022, saying goodbye to the 20-bathroom, 12-bedroom compound he built from scratch.
