Anyone who is familiar with singer Vanessa Carlton surely isn’t surprised to hear that she and her husband, fellow musician John McCauley own a 19th-century property in Rhode Island. The musicians kept the home’s vintage aesthetic, and in an interview with Architectural Digest, Carlton admitted that the property was a pandemic find.

She and her husband found the home on Zillow, and they toured it virtually through FaceTime before purchasing it. Carlton revealed that the couple was thrilled about “those enormous wide wood plank floors you can’t find anymore” and the “artisan work that went into these mantles.”
