German racecar driver Michael Schumacher competed for Jordan, Ferrari, Mercedes, and Benetton in Formula One. Though he’s retired now, he still isn’t done living the high life, and he was gifted a private island in Dubai by Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The Sheikh presented the seven-time Formula 1 world champion with the private hideaway, which is one of three hundred man-made islands off the coast of Dubai. The island cost $5.49 million when Schumacher was granted it in 2011; it now costs around $7 million today. The developer cautioned in 2016 that the islands were sinking back into the sea—so, hopefully, Schumacher’s gift stays afloat.
