The New York Times called Pamela Anderson’s Vancouver Island home a “Garden of Eden.” The model and actress said bye-bye to her Malibu beachfront abode (for $15 million) and instead went up north to Canada, where she is originally from.

Anderson said she left her small Canadian town to model for Playboy, but, in the end, she just wanted “to come home.” She called her hometown “one of the most beautiful places” in the world. She and her husband were married in a quiet ceremony on the island, and Anderson said that she’s focused now on “creating [her] life…where it all started.”
