Actor Marlon Brando paid just $270,000 for Tetiaroa, a French Polynesian island. The Tahitian paradise was previously owned by a wealthy Canadian dentist before it was sold to The Godfather star, who reportedly viewed Tetiaroa as a spiritual getaway.
Now, Tetiaroa is home to The Brando, a luxury resort. The atoll is composed of a dozen tiny islands, and The Brando is its centerpiece. The luxury, beachy vacation getaway costs $3,000 per night. The Brando calls Tetiaroa a “stunning” place of “rejuvenation,” “tranquility,” and “beauty.” Judging from the painting-like pictures of the secluded atoll, we have to agree.
