Mikhail Prokhorov owns a Gulfstream V, yacht, gold mines, an NBA team, and a watch worth $200K. It’s only fitting that he added “private island” to his resume a decade ago, when he purchased North Island in the Seychelles back in 2011.

Prokhorov’s island is located in the Indian Ocean, and it’s one of the most beautiful oases in the Seychelles. North Island has a small luxury hotel, which can fit thirty to forty oligarchs and whoever they want as their guests. Reportedly, Prokhorov paid $40 million for the island (adjusting for inflation), and he spent New Year’s of that year there.
