One of the biggest music-related tourist attractions in Sweden is the tiny cottage on Viggso where ABBA composed some of its greatest hits. We’ve all heard “Dancing Queen” and “Fernando,” and Viggso Island was the place where Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus wrote these hits.

The couples in ABBA, along with Stikkan Andersson, the band manager, bought properties on Viggso in the 1970s. In 2007, Ulvaeus and his family bought another home on Viggso, purchasing it from Lasse Anderson, Stikkan’s son. The Viggso Cabin is the main residence on the island, located right near the coast of Sweden’s eastern shoreline.
