A sitting member of Congress has reported fresh exposure to cryptocurrency markets, adding both a mainstream token and a meme coin to his financial disclosures.
Rep. Michael A. Collins Jr. is a Republican representing Georgia’s 10th District. First elected in 2022, Collins has positioned himself as a pro-business conservative with a focus on transportation, small business, and agriculture.

According to a filing with the House Clerk’s office, Collins purchased Ethereum (ETH) on Aug. 7, in a transaction valued between $1,001 and $15,000.
Ethereum is the second-largest cryptocurrency with a market capitalization of $516 billion and is widely used for decentralized finance and tokenization projects. It recently hit a new all-time high (ATH) of $4,953.73 on Aug. 25, rising on the crypto treasury wave.
Just two weeks later, on Aug. 22, Collins disclosed another purchase in the same value range — this time in “ski mask dog” (SKI). With a market cap of $42 million, it is a rather lesser-known meme coin.
ETH was trading at $4,268.48 at press time, down 2% a day. SKI, on the other hand, was trading at $0.04283, up 14% a day.
The disclosure was signed by Collins on Sep. 2, 2025, in accordance with the Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge (STOCK) Act, which requires members of Congress to publicly report securities and crypto transactions above $1,000 within 45 days.
