Repesentative Beyers (D-Va) seeks to define and regulate all digital assets with a new 58 page bill which Beyer introduced Thursday, seeks to create an exhaustive regulatory regime for digital assets. It would do so in part by defining which sorts of cryptocurrencies might be securities, which can be treated as commodities, and bolster tax data collecting for reporting purposes. It will probably be amended as it works it's way through Congress but at least Congress is starting to react to the crypto space.
