HEALING EFFECTS OF INFRARED THERAPY

Posted by Bobby Brown on March 20, 2021 - 10:57am

The Amazing Healing Effects of Infrared Therapy

What is infrared therapy?

Infrared therapy is a light-based method of treating pain and inflammation in various parts of the body. Infrared light enhances cell regeneration and promotes cell repair. Studies have shown infrared light, with wavelength frequencies from 700 to 1,000 nanometers, can help heal inflammatory conditions.

Infrared light penetrates  the inner layers of the skin. These light waves can penetrate up to three inches deep, reaching the muscles, the nerves, and the bones. These waves can generate warmth that can help relieve muscle pain and soreness. The gentle heat produced by far infrared heat therapy may help reduce or eliminate chronic pain and inflammation.

What are the benefits of full spectrum far infrared?

Full spectrum is a term defined as light that covers the range of the electromagnetic spectrum from infrared to near-ultraviolet, or all wavelengths that are useful to plant and animal life. In particular, sunlight is considered to be full spectrum, even though the solar spectral distribution reaching Earth changes with time of day, latitude, and atmospheric conditions.

A green approach

Far infrared rays use very little energy - 60% less than customary heating sources of the body, such as a heating pad. The energy stays active as much as 1.5 times longer after the treatment. Thusly, it creates an extended heat therapeutic effect (ETE).
