Network Marketing's Number One Pitfall, is the most elusive but most obvious. So many miss this pitfall and then wonder why they are not successful. It's probably the most visible, but yet the most elusive. It's so obvious that most discount it as something they can't do without trying. You are probably asking what it is, and at this point I will not make it easy on you. You will have to read this article but I assure you that you will not be disappointed. 

Now lets dig into network marketing and ask a simple question. What is the thing that most people fear and will not do? It scares the crap out of people just thinking about it and when they do it makes their blood pressure go up. It holds them back from success in many areas of life and limits production. 

Network Marketing Pitfall

When this pitfall is over come, wealth flows in massive amounts and when over come and looked back upon it seems so silly. Well here it is, are you ready? Talking to people! Yep, simply talking to strangers. 

So many times individuals will not talk to strangers because they are afraid of them. They fear that the stranger will do something to them and they will never recover. You know I once read that FEAR stands for " False Evidence That Appears Real". Strangers will not hurt you! Fear is 95% false and 5% real so never give in to fear. 

Here is a shocking revelation, strangers want to be talked to! Everyone wants to be appreciated and paid attention to. No one will be intentionally rude to others. Sometimes you will find a strange bird in the mix, but for the most part everyone wants to be acknowledged. 

Here is another revelation, people want to hear about your company. It's the subconscious mind that seems to tell you they don't. Without getting into psychology, your subconscious mind wants to protect you and keep you safe so it puts forth false events to make you do things to stay safe. OMG, if I tell this person about my new company or product they will start screaming uncontrollably at me, and embarrassed me into oblivion. It will never happen!

Solution

If you present your product or service to someone and they don't like it they will simply say no! Don't push them! There is a cute little book that was written titled "Go For No" and it explains how successful network marketers look for NO's, and how that translates into wealth. 

Now this works best if you are selling something that others want. if you are selling something that others don't want, you will probably get a lot of No's, but statically you will get some Yes's and make some money. So represent a company that you like and not one you don't like. Represent a company that you are comfortable speaking with others about. 

Now you are probably asking where to find people to talk to that want to hear from you. Let me ask this question, "What is a business card for?" It's a clue to talk to someone one. It's an offer to have someone call the other about business. It's not a one sided relationship, as many may think, it's an invitation for someone to call another and talk about what they both have. Most people think that it's only when someone wants to purchase what the business card is selling, not true!

If you went to a grocery store and took someone's card off the board where they post them, and call the person and said "I got your card and am calling to see if we can do business together", what would the person say? Remember, they put the card out there to get someone to call them. They hand the card out so people will call them, they don't hand it out so no one will call them. 

I represent two companies so if a person doesn't want what I am offering I have a back up offer. Both companies are what people want and I have no problem getting people to talk to. When this one pitfall is overcome the distributor is able to build substantial wealth. This is the main pitfall that holds people back, and it's a key point that has to be focused on. James Otto Gray Ray, this is an excellent article and well written. Great job. I checked out your two businesses also, but not in a position now to take advantage of them. I would be interested in joining your valantus group, however, I see it is closed. Any chance I can get in?
